snag point

a collection of one-off pieces inspired by and developed from the textiles themselves.

the fiber, the opacity, the weight; this collection explores the Intimacy of worn materials and the cyclical nature of fashion. crafted from secondhand cotton and notoriously “cheap” fabrics, like muslin, old bed sheets, and sweatshirts, snag point explores the extent to which these materials can be elevated while maintaining the handmade feel.

the collection explores a contrast of vulnerability and edge, softness and structure, stemmed from the idea of a series of skirts that emphasize the crotch, rather than hiding it. the circle serves as a quiet motif: a tool to highlight the body in untypical yet subtle ways, and a symbol of continuity and regeneration. each piece intentionally snagged; pleated, stretched, morphed, quilted, hand-dyed testing the fabrics’ limits.
